Growing up amongst the fells and lakes of the Lake District gave me a passion for cycling, exploring and the outdoors from an early age. I then caught the travel bug and explored extensively across Europe and worldwide. That passion for travel continues to grow and I feel very fortunate to have then been able to pursue a career in cycling, walking and adventure travel, doing something I love. I’m also a big foodie and history enthusiast, both of which are usually just around the corner on our Cycling for Softies routes.

On family holidays, we now go cycling across Europe and it’s great to see our children’s enjoyment and sense of achievement on the rides, as they point out the sights along the way. We’re always amazed by the amount of wildlife we see each day, which is perfect for our budding wildlife enthusiasts! My most recent cycling holidays have been in the south of France, Tuscany and Portugal and I am happiest cycling in the sunshine, seeking out the next regional dish at a café or enjoying that rewarding glass of wine.
