How Do I Use the App?
Instructions on how to download and use your Ride With GPS Experience will be dispatched to you with your pre-departure documents. As well as this, you will have the opportunity at your welcome meeting with the Destination Manager to ask any questions about your routes or request any further guidance on how to operate the app.
Will I Need Data Roaming to Use the App?
You do not need to use cellular data while using the app. When you download the Ride With GPS Experience the routes are automatically downloaded onto your phone, so you will be able to ride and navigate with your phone in Airplane Mode and not need to use cellular data.
Is the App ‘User-Friendly’?
Yes, it is as easy as a ‘maps’ tool essentially on your phone but with added extras. Any issues can be addressed in your welcome meeting and your Destination Manager can walk you through the app in person.
Can We Download the Routes to Our Garmin Device?
If you use your own Garmin (or equivalent) device and would like to load the routes on to this then please request the GPX files for your tour from [email protected].
Will I Also Receive Printed Maps?
All our tour documents and resources are sent out digitally, and for environmental reasons we no longer send out printed maps. The Ride with GPS Experiences app will provide you with all of the route information that you need in one place. If you would like printouts of the turn-by-turn instructions, then it is possible for these to be sent to you in PDF form by email upon request to [email protected].
